Genies IRL is an immersive VisionOS experience that highlights how developers can bring their Genies avatars into spatial environments with purpose and personality. Designed as a technical showcase, this application demonstrates the potential of integrating an extended player character within the real world using Unity PolySpatial and Genies XR Tools.
Your Genie seamlessly interacts with the environment by completing a variety of contextual goals, such as:
• Offering or receiving an item from the user
• Initiating or receiving a high-five
• Sitting on appropriate surfaces
• Navigating the space
• Observing through windows
• Affixing objects to surfaces—and more
This experience is powered by Genies XR Tools, a forthcoming offering of developer scripts and tools that enable rich avatar behaviors in extended reality.
